Gyms are gyms...UNTIL NOW! Most gyms send flyers out in the mail and entice you to take them up on a great discount that will quintuple in a month. They offer a few gimmicks that seem to be good, but in reality are mundane.
NOT at FREE RUN! When you walk into this gym you are going to do a double-take, and then a triple take!
This gym has everything you need to REALLY get fit. Getting fit does not mean just pumping iron, but building your whole body at the same time.
This place has a great NINJA COURSE and an obstacle course with wall climbing with a full free-running experience.
We spoke with Tyler Hodess, the owner whose fitness level is extremely high and he explained all of FREE RUN'S training programs and how they build maximum strength and agility. The idea is have the whole body work as a well-oiled unit ready for anything that life can throw at it.
In this gym, you'll find ropes, Olympic rings, wall-climbing, jumps, military rope walls and of course weights!
The customer service in FREE RUN is top-notch and you'll be more than pleased with the knowledge of the team.
You are in good hands with FREE RUN INC.

Don't take our word for it, read some of the YELP reviews from Mississauga!
Went by for their 2 hours of free play on Saturday from
12pm to 2pm! They also offer your first class for free.
Lots of fun, obstacle course/ninja warrior typeset ups. One of the guys showed us around (Tyler...maybe) and made sure safety was first. Great tips and staff was always around.
We did the 2 full hours and had the most fun which we still felt the next day.
Worth the $10 price tag!
Will be back around for the classes :)
This is a brand new gym that opened late last year. I initially inquired about them and went to visit the facility before it was in full operating mode. At that point in time, it looked okay, a few obstacles here and there. However, given the popularity of OCR's these days, I wanted to try a different type of training and always wanted to do one of their free trial classes.
I registered a couple of times, only to cancel because of last minute conflicts, however I finally had some time and registered for what they call "Obstacle Conditioning". The trainer's name was Nelson and it was a fairly small group size. We did a few laps, ran up some fairly steep ramps (which aren't as hard as they look), climb some fences, medicine ball slams, keg carries and some body weight training in 3 or 4 rounds of 15 minutes or so (I don't remember, I was tired). As Nelson knew it was my first class, he was very careful to monitor what I was doing and (everyone else too) so I wouldn't get hurt and also gave tips. A very challenging but fun class.
In terms of the facility itself, it has a bunch of obstacle course equipment like fences, ramps, cargo net, rope climb and even an American Ninja Warrior set up, plus multiple squat racks and functional equipment and the treadmills were basically friction powered (or something) and not electronic. The washrooms were clean and big as well.
However, what really impressed me was the owner, Tyler. I came to visit the gym before opening and he may or may not have remembered my name, but he remembered the details of what I told him before and which gym I went to, which is pretty impressive. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Verdict: While this gym is a 15 minute drive away from me, I still signed up because of the classes and the equipment and training. Yes, I'll be paying more in gas, but I just look at it as the cost of taking my fitness to the next level. I recommend you try a free class or their Happy Hour Ninja special (see their website) where it's $10 for 2 hours of play time.
This gym is like no other. It is the right fit. Personal training to small group classes, knowledgeable trainers, any type of work out you imagine or make up these folks got it. Wanna train for obstacle course races, strength train, metabolic conditioning, lose weight, get faster, stronger, better.... this is the place. Quite honestly this is an adult playground. 5 stars for Free Run Inc. Awesome!
