Improved Transit Service for Ward 9
I recently got an update on the service changes for our community that will take place in the fall.
At my request some changes were made to the 5 year plan for the northwest part of the city and changes were made to some of the routes. There will be further changes in early 2017 as well. Click here to learn more.
Miway will also be holding Open Houses at Meadowvale Community Centre on Saturday October 1, 2016 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and at Erin Meadows Community Centre on Tuesday October 4, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Make a Wish - Grant a Wish at Erin Mills Town Centre
Many thanks to Erin Mills Town Centre for supporting our local food bank. For the next year the new infinity fountain at Erin Mills Town Centre is taking wishes - for Eden Food for Change.
Any coins thrown into the fountain at the Erin Mills Town Centre will be collected and donated to Eden Food for Change. Since June, Eden Food for Change has already received $259.
The new fountain can be found in the centre of the mall located under the featured sphere skylight and was part of all the renovations done to update the building over the past few years.

Bike Safety on Trails
I continue to get complaints about cyclists both young and old not indicating when they approach pedestrians on our park trails. I had signs installed along Aquitaine Trail advising cyclists it is the law to have a bell or horn and to use it. A senior was injured last month when a cyclists ran into her on his bike.
Our trails are all multi use and in order for users to
co-exist safely we all must take responsibility.
CYCLISTS MUST RING THEIR BELL to let others know you are approaching from behind.
Please follow these rules:
Please be careful and courteous and let people know you are approaching. This simple action can prevent injury.
