While out in the community, I have been asked several questions about the Hanlan Water Project.
The Hanlan Feedermain will run approximately 14.5 kilometres from the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant on Lake Ontario to the Hanlan Reservoir and Pumping Station at Tomken Road and Britannia Road East. Construction is currently active on Dixie Road from Dundas Street to Eastgate Parkway. Construction commenced in 2011 and will continue to 2017. The good news is many improvements will be made to local neighbourhoods including roadwork upgrades, water and wastewater upgrades as well as many landscaping elements.
Here is the link to the Hanlan website where you can find up to the minute information on construction, road closures, alternate driving routes, etc.
The Region of Peel is advancing into the next phase of the Hanlan Water Project – the largest and most extensive watermain project Peel has ever designed and constructed.
Here you can learn about the project and find out what it means for you, your family and your community.
You can follow the project’s construction as it progresses over the next three years. The website will be updated regularly, so be sure to check back for updates and new information.
