PRACTICE SCHEDULE – Fall Tackle
Pre season practices will start in mid-August and continue until school starts. There may be up to four scheduled per week. This is to allow players who are involved in other summer programs to complete that commitment and still have the opportunity to attend some football practices.
After school starts, practices generally drop to two per week.Players will be advised of fields, dates, and times prior to start date.
PLAYING GUIDELINES – Fall Tackle
The MFL is a development program meaning there are no tryouts. Players who are fully registered are assigned to teams regardless of previous experience or ability. All players will have playing time during each game unless there are safety factors or other conditions that would preclude this.
GAME SCHEDULE – Fall Tackle
Atom, Peewee, and Bantam, games are generally on Saturday mornings.
For these divisions, the MFL will compete with the Oakville and Burlington Minor Football Associations so there will be a few away games at those locations.
JV game day schedule will be confirmed in May as MFL is currently working with both Oakville and Burlington in trying to add Junior Varsity team from these two areas. The games may be played on Sunday nights or on Saturday. Game days will be confirmed as soon as possible.
GAME/PRACTICE SCHEDULE – Summer Flag
The Summer Flag program will run from the end of May through to the end of July on Sundays. A one hour warm-up / practice will be followed by a one hour game. No equipment other than appropriate footwear is required for this program.
